We had our banquet at the hotel on Saturday night and I finally had a few moments to take photos of each of the attendees (I hope I did not leave anyone out).  Ken Sax, NSXCA Treasurer and NSXPO 2007 Director, opened the evening by welcoming everyone after which Larry Bastanza had an opportunity to address our members.  Larry surprised Ken with a 24x36 canvas photo of Ken at Watkins Glen from NSXPO 2004 as a token of our appreciation for all of the great work that Ken has done for the NSXCA over the years.  The surprises continued with a presentation of a similar style photo, but of the American LeMans Acura race car of Highcroft Racing, to Hirofumi Tomayashi.  Hirofumi is the President of the NSX Club of Japan and this is his fourth NSXPO.

After dinner we were addressed by Forrest Granlund, an engineer in the R&D Department of Honda in Ohio.  Forrest was also the project leader on the '01 MDX, '03 Pilot, '03 Element, '04 TL, '05.5 Ridgeline and the '07 MDX.  He has also mixed business with pleasure when he was one of the original racers with the Honda of America Race Team where he was teammates with Peter Cunningham.  Forrest provided us with insight into Honda R&D and discussed the new NSX but unfortunately we have all been sworn to secrecy.........

Sunday's agenda involves Driving Dynamics sessions at the Transportation Research Center, a testing site for various automakers including nearby Honda.  No cameras are allowed at the facility but let's see what will happen..........
