Our second day on the Canadian side of the Falls brought us views of a magnificent sunrise as observed from our suites at the Embassy Suites overlooking both the American and Horseshoe Falls.  The weather looked more promising so we trekked down to the Maid of the Mist where we donned the equivalent of hefty bags to experience the awesome raw power of the base of the Horseshoe.  As the boat was buffeted about we felt as though we were trying to walk headlong into a hurricane as 34,000,000 gallons of water cascaded over and down the Falls each and every minute to where we were waiting.  We then decided to walk along the Promenade to the top of the Horseshoe before venturing down and behind the Falls for another good soaking.  But it was then time to pack our gear and head back to the States for our evening reception at Ray Laks Acura.......
