Thanks to the efforts of Ron & Ginnie Witt, owners of the Silver that took Best in Show at NSXPO 2006, we were hosted by Michael Perry, General Manager of Ray Laks Acura, for an evening reception at the dealership to Prime us (pun intended) for our journey to Ohio the following morning.  Ray Laks Acura has been a great supporter of the Northeast Region as well as the NSXCA by offering discounts on parts through Hondacuraworld.com.  Their dedication to the NSXCA and its membership was fully evident as they rolled out the red carpet for our members both socially and mechanically.

Remember when I wrote earlier that we hit rain on the way up because I finally washed the track rat?  After seeing the way my NSX looked as I rolled into the dealership the first thing they did was take the car inside to detail it for me.  They provided this royal treament to several of our other members with similar sad looking rides.  They also arranged to have a windshield shipped overnight to replace the cracked one in our group so that the car would be ready for the trip and the track.  And, finally, they helped out my favorite predicate felon who shall remain anonymous (but whose motto is "stand up") by providing a much needed and very overdue New York State Inspection to help him gain early release and a dismissal of a ticket on the way up.

As an added surprise, one of our  members had the opportunity to check out a 2007 TL-S and by the end of the reception there was a new Acura added to our ranks.  I do not want to mention any names but this impulse buyer, and car collector, goes by the initials T.H.E.  D.O.N.   Congrats on the great addition to your ever-evolving stable and thanks Mike, Ginnie, Ron and Ray Laks Acura for the hospitality!!!!!
